Cookie Policy
This site sets no cookies. Optional page analytics run only if you allow them. One other thing may be stored if you ask for it.

The facts on this page are accurate and were checked against the site's source. The binding legal wording has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet.
No cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and no third party sets one through it. It is a static site: HTML, CSS, images and a little JavaScript, served from a CDN with no application server and no session behind it.
Consent for page analytics
On a first visit the site shows a small banner with two choices: allow, or no thanks. Nothing optional runs until you pick one. You can change that later with the privacy choices control in the footer.
When you choose, the site writes a single localStorage entry named mochi:consent, holding whether analytics is allowed and when you decided. That entry is only there so the site remembers the choice on the next visit instead of asking again. Clearing site data removes it, and the banner returns.
Page analytics
If you allow it, the marketing site measures visits with OpenPanel, self-hosted by Nuits at https://openpanel-api.nuits.net. Events leave the browser as requests to that host only. They are not sent to OpenPanel's cloud product, and no other analytics vendor, tag manager, advertising pixel or heatmap is loaded.
What is recorded is ordinary page-level measurement: the path and title of the page, the referrer, coarse device and browser signals, and city-level location derived server-side. Session replay is off. The site does not record keystrokes, form fields, mouse heatmaps or a video of your visit.
If you choose no thanks, the analytics library is never initialised and no measurement request is made. You can switch either way later from the footer.
The other thing stored in your browser on purpose
If you use the motion switch in the footer, the site writes a single localStorage entry named mochi:motion, holding the wordon or off. It is written only at the moment you press that switch, never on arrival, and it exists so the site remembers the choice on your next visit instead of asking again.
It is never transmitted anywhere. It stays in your browser, on your device, and is readable only by this site. It carries no identifier, so it cannot be used to recognise you, count you or link one visit to another. Clearing site data in your browser removes it, and the site then follows your operating system's reduced-motion setting, which is what it does before you have ever touched the switch.
Cookies and analytics in the app
The macOS app sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Signing in happens in your system browser and returns a session that lives in your Keychain. Crash reporting and usage telemetry are deliberately absent from the app; that is a product decision about a process that holds a live microphone, not a setting on this website.
If this ever changes
This describes the site as it is built today, not a promise about the future. Turning on session replay, adding a third-party measurement vendor, or storing anything new in your browser that you did not ask for, needs the consent mechanism and this page updated in the same change.
